A Slow first half with Leicester making most of the early play, Mounview played their part, resulting in a couple of chances at either ends with both teams playing good football

The mid field of Harry, Alex S and Greg worked well preventing Mountview from settling, passing some beautiful through balls to Alex A and Jack. When Mountview managed to progress through the midfield Jake, Aaron and Adam made neat work of defending their goal with Kevin confidently claiming every ball in close proximity.

Mountview had probably the best chances of the half with their tall No 6 presented with two back post headers from corner kicks, which he failed to connect with.

The Second half saw a couple of changes on the Leicester side Lee, Darragh and Michael enter the game for Greg and Jack and Alex A. Immediately the changes payed divident with Lee latching on to a throw in from Darragh, a couple of controlling touches and a sweet pass to the back of the net saw Leicester go 1 nil ahead. (1 v 0)

Suddenly a more settled Leicester advanced forward with conviction and a blistering close in volley by Jake form a well delivered corner by Harry ended in the rear of the net. (2 v 0)

Mountview slightly shocked by their swift change in fortune composed themselves and relentlessly pressed forward looking for a way back, but a Leister breakaway down the right flank saw a well delivered cross land the ball on the head of Michael after a majestic leap who directed it down into the bottom left corner. (3 v 0)

A couple of late substitutions unsettled Leicester causing them to loose their shape and permitt ing Mountview to again sweep forward looking for a late conciliation goal, however Leicester and Kevin in particular were determined to keep  a clean sheet. Out of defence a couple of well timed passes ended again at the feet of Lee who gently passed the ball into the Mountview net. (4 v 0)

Very late chances fell to both sides but the final result of 4 v 0 to Leister Celtic, while possible flattering was well deserved. Both teams wanted and managed to play good flowing football which was helped along by an excellent referee with a good mentoring attitude.
