Leicester Celtic U13s are collecting old clothes as a fundraiser for their trip to Augsburg in Germany this Easter.
We are asking all LCFC members and friends to please help and donate any old clothes, and bring them to the club before Sat 18th December. Many thanks We are delighted to announce that Leicester Celtic FC and Noggin Sports have teamed up in an effort to raise awareness of mental health in our community, which affects so many people in both their daily lives and in their sporting lives.
YOU CAN BUY THEM HERE ‘Noggin Sport’ is run by two brothers who are dedicated to raising awareness of mental health in sport. They are a Community Interest Company, where the profits they make go straight into supporting mental health awareness projects across Ireland and the UK. “Our aim is to help people and make people realise that it’s ok to talk about how they feel, that mental health and mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone has different experiences but at some point or another, everyone goes through tough times. It’s about creating a community where everyone is part of something” (Kieran Joyce of Noggin Sport) The club have ordered a limited edition run of LCFC Noggin beanies/hats that can be pre-ordered either online through Clubforce and a small number available through the club shop. All monies raised will go back into the club which provides an outlet for so many in our community, with a donation also to be made to one of the great charities listed below. LCFC recognises the importance of mental health awareness and the part we can play in supporting our children and families through difficult times. LCFC Chairman Gerry Whelan added “'It is so important that we all understand and acknowledge that many people are suffering with mental health issues, particularly during the current Coronavirus pandemic. So, Leicester Celtic FC are delighted to support and promote this worthwhile cause. We encourage everyone to support as much as they can by buying a Club Noggin Beanie Hat.” Beanie sizes come in 'Adult size' and Kids Size (For kids age 5-10) A brilliant stocking filler for all players, mums and dads, nanas and granddads!
