Team Lists and Fixtures Team lists and fixtures can be found on the MWC 24 Teams & Fixtures page.
Matches will be played on Tuesday 11 June, Wednesday 12 June, Thursday 13 June and Friday 14 June
No matches on Saturday 15th.
Finals will be played on Sunday 16 June.
The approximate Kick Off times for the matches for each age group are:
U5/6 - 17:30
U7/8 - 18:15
U9/10 - 19:00
U11/12 - 19:45
U13/14 - 20:30
The duration of games will be 12 mins per half. Finals will be 15 minutes per half. Please arrive at least 15 mins before your allocated start time. Please be aware that girls are mixed in with the boys teams but they play a year down.

Parking Arrangements: Please note we have been advised by the Garda that ticketing will be enforced for anyone parking in the cycle lane on the opposite side of the road from the clubhouse. We will have stewards on duty during the MWC. Please heed their instructions and avoid parking in the cycle lane. We would also ask you to respect our neighbours and avoid blocking driveways etc. The nearest place to park is Nutgrove Shopping Centre, a short walk away. Control of Dogs To help ensure the safety, well-being and enjoyment of all participants at MWC, owners of dogs who attend the event with them are requested to ensure that their dog is kept under full control at all times and that they pick up after their pet where necessary. Footwear & equipment Please ensure that all players are wearing appropriate footwear and shin guards.

Football Tournament Rules Group Stage
Number of Teams:
U5/U6 AND U13/14 Will have 3 groups of 4 teams and will play a traditional round robin of matches with their groups.
All other age groups will have 4 groups with 6 teams in each group.
Matches:
Each team plays exactly 3 matches against different teams in their group (not all teams will play against each other).
Points System:
Win: 3 points
Draw: 1 point
Loss: 0 points
Determining Group Winners:
Teams are ranked based on the total points accumulated.
In the event of equal points, the following criteria are used to determine the ranking:
Goal Difference (GD): Total goals scored minus total goals conceded.
Goals For (GF): Total goals scored.
Head to Head result: The result of the match between the tied teams.
If still tied, a coin toss will be used.
Knockout Stages
Qualification:
Group winners advance to the Cup semifinals.
Teams finishing 2nd advance to the Plate semifinals.
Teams finishing 3rd advance to the Shield semifinals.
Teams finishing 4th advance to the League semifinals.
Teams finishing 5th advance to the Trophy semifinals.
Teams finishing 6th advance to the Medal semifinals.
Match Format:
If a knockout match ends in a draw:
Extra Time: 5 minutes each half.
Penalty Shootout: 5 penalties per team.
Sudden Death: If still tied after penalties, the shootout continues with one penalty per team until a winner is determined.
All teams will play either a final or a 3rd/4th place playoff after the semifinals.
Adjustments for Age Divisions with 3 Groups
Cup Semifinals: Comprise the 3 group winners and the best 2nd place team.
Shield Semifinals: Comprise the 3 second place teams and the best 3rd place team.
Plate, League, Trophy, and Medal: Similar adjustments will be made to ensure all teams are placed into appropriate semifinals based on their group stage performance.
General Rules
Referee and Committee Rulings: All decisions made by referees and the tournament committee are final.
Sportsmanship: The tournament is meant to be fun and enjoyable. Negative behaviour or comments from the sidelines will not be tolerated.
